How do Bitcoin holders handle payments across different networks without extra steps?
Bringin said on Oct. 3, 2026 that Bringin v2 is live with a rebuilt self-custody wallet that handles on-chain Bitcoin and Lightning from one balance. NFA. The update follows a Bringin blog post issued the same day.
Single Balance Design
Users receive and send both on-chain Bitcoin and Lightning payments from one balance. No manual swaps or channel management steps are required. The app routes each payment based on the address or invoice provided.
Wallet Rebuild Details
Bringin rebuilt the wallet inside v2 from the start. The process used the open-source Breez SDK on Spark, described as a layer-two protocol on Bitcoin. Existing users keep their wallet and balance when they update the app through the App Store or Play Store.
Key Control And Exit Options
Users hold the keys under the new setup. Bringin participates in transactions through multisig arrangements but never acts alone. Each wallet includes pre-signed exit transactions. This structure allows users to move funds off Spark on-chain without any further input from Bringin.
Payment Tools In The App
A.btc Lightning address on bringin.xyz sends Bitcoin directly into the self-custody wallet. Users paste an on-chain address, a Lightning invoice, or a Lightning address, and the app selects the correct route. One scanner in the app reads Bitcoin addresses, Lightning invoices, and Lightning addresses.
Availability
The app serves Bitcoiners in Europe. Version two can be downloaded at bringin.me. The Oct. 3, 2026 go-live date stands as a separate fact from any earlier development work noted in the Bringin blog post.
Daily Use Flow
The design keeps all actions inside one interface. A user opens the app, sees a single balance, and chooses to receive or send. The scanner handles incoming details without extra apps or manual adjustments. Current clients who update see their prior balance appear automatically.
