How do users move stablecoins from a payment account into a standard bank without added intermediaries?

Tangem answered that question on Oct. 13, 2026 when it enabled bank payouts from Tangem Pay. The company stated that USDC held inside the service can now arrive as US dollars in any US bank account. The feature is already active and available inside the app for eligible accounts.

Announcement Details

Tangem posted the update on X. The post confirmed that users can now send USDC from Tangem Pay and receive dollars through traditional banking rails. The service works with USDC on Polygon, Base and Arbitrum. Recipients can include the user’s own account, another individual’s account or a business account. Each transfer requires a choice between ACH or FedWire rails and final confirmation by tapping the Tangem hardware card.

Steps for Users

The Tangem help center outlines a clear process. Users open the Withdraw section, select bank transfer, enter the amount and recipient information, then review the details before sending. The receiving bank must be located in the United States. The recipient’s address may be anywhere in the world. Availability of the option depends on the country where the Tangem Pay account was verified. When offered, the feature appears directly in the app.

Wallet Connection

Tangem Pay operates as a separate payment account inside the same application as the Tangem Wallet. The wallet itself remains non-custodial. Users can also return USDC or USDT from Tangem Pay to the Tangem Wallet if they prefer to keep funds in self-custody. This separation keeps the hardware wallet’s core design intact while adding payment functionality.

Current Scope

The update applies only to accounts verified in regions where the payout option has been enabled. Tangem has not published further details on additional networks or currencies beyond the three already listed. The feature does not alter the non-custodial status of the underlying Tangem Wallet.

The change gives Tangem Pay users a direct path from stablecoin balances to US bank accounts. The option is confirmed live as of Oct. 13, 2026. NFA.
